The Audi A5 is a compact coupe model of Audi. It was based on A4 and will be launching in the half of 2007. The four door A5 version of Audi would be the through competitor of a potential Mercedes-Benz CLE-Class. The two door coupe versions of Audi A5 would fight against BMW 3-series and Mercedes Benz CLK Class.

Audi supported that the A4-based A5 would last into product on May 10, 2006. The Audi A5 fill up the gap between Audi A4 and Audi A6, as a peppy 2+2 coupe in 4.60 meter class by combining its sporty attitude with a breath of luxury.

The Audi A5 is released after TT and R8 models. A5 is Nuvolari based model having 600bhp BiTurbo V10 and it is the third new vehicle to get from construct to world. The best two were R8 (Le Mans) and Q7 (Pikes Peak).

The Audi A5 will only be available with six cylinder engines (3.2 and 3.6 liter FSI). In February 2007 the Audi A5 will debut at the Geneva Auto Show with 4.2 liter V8 locomotive producing 350 horsepower. Later, a 5.2 Liter V10 will be to have office production to 450hp.

Audi is placing billions of dollars into their other vehicle growing and has had over 10 days of increasing sales expected to their old efforts. The new A5 design models are based on a modular design platform. It will be more beneficial to the next generation models A4 and A6 as the engine is placed on the rear side.

The A5 will also be the first car to have the VW group's highly regarded s-tronic gearbox mated to a longitudinal engine.
